Xaneborr is a towering half-giant whose imposing 7'2" frame commands attention in any room. His sun-bronzed skin bears the weathered marks of countless battles, while his warrior's build speaks to decades of martial training and combat experience. His blonde hair is kept in intricate northman braids adorned with green dragon scales, each one representing a significant moment in his defense of dragonkind. His beard is similarly braided with metal rings bearing ancient draconic runes that seem to shimmer with inner light. His steel-gray eyes hold both fierce determination and surprising wisdom, reflecting a mind that combines the strategic thinking of a general with the passion of a true warrior.
Unique Characteristics
A network of red-ink tattoos covers his chest and arms, depicting various dragon motifs that tell the story of his commitment to dragonkind. Each tattoo marks a significant moment where he defended dragons from persecution or death, and they seem to shimmer with an inner light when he becomes angered or enters combat. His massive hands show the calluses of both weapon work and craftsmanship, as he is known to forge his own weapons and armor. Background & History
Outcast Childhood and Early Struggles
Born to a giant father and human mother in the northern reaches of Xeres Prime, Xaneborr's early life was marked by constant challenges and rejection. His mixed heritage made him an outsider in both communities: too small for giant society where he was seen as weak and inferior, yet too large and intimidating for human settlements where he was viewed with fear and suspicion. This early isolation fostered a deep understanding of what it meant to be different, to be feared without cause, and to be judged by appearance rather than character. These formative experiences would later shape his profound affinity for dragons, creatures that faced similar persecution and misunderstanding from the world at large.
The Dragon's Gift and Awakening Purpose
During his sixteenth year, Xaneborr witnessed a group of hunters attempting to kill a wounded green dragon for its scales and treasure. Without hesitation, he intervened, fighting alongside the dragon against dozens of armed men in a battle that would define his future. Though they emerged victorious, the dragon was mortally wounded from its previous injuries. Before dying, the grateful creature gifted Xaneborr with one of its scales and a fragment of its draconic power, marking the beginning of his lifelong connection to dragonkind. This pivotal experience taught him that strength alone wasn't enough to create meaningful change; purpose and unwavering principles were equally important components of true power.
Rise as Protector and Leader
His reputation grew as he traveled the northern territories, earning renown not just for his incredible martial prowess but for his surprising wisdom, fairness, and unwavering moral code. He became known as a protector of the persecuted, particularly of dragons who began to seek him out for aid against those who would hunt them. Word of his deeds spread, and dragons started to gather around him, recognizing in this half-giant a true champion of their kind. His growing influence and the respect he commanded from both dragons and humanoids caught the attention of Tundra, the charismatic leader of the emerging Chromatic Council, who approached him with visions of a unified realm where strength and justice would go hand in hand.
Leadership of the Green Dragon Legion
As leader of the Green Dragon Legion, Xaneborr transformed what had been a scattered band of warriors into a cohesive military force bound by honor, loyalty, and a strict moral code. He led from the front, sharing every hardship with his men and earning their undying devotion through his example rather than through fear or intimidation. Under his command, the legion became renowned not just for their fighting prowess but for their unwavering commitment to protecting the innocent and never abusing their strength. His soldiers knew that their leader would never ask them to do something he wouldn't do himself, and this mutual respect created an unbreakable bond between commander and troops that made them nearly unstoppable in battle.
Growing Disillusionment with the Chromatic Council
The next decade gradually revealed the growing disparity between Tundra's inspiring vision and the harsh reality of the Council's methods. While Xaneborr sought to unite people through demonstrations of strength tempered by justice, he watched with increasing unease as other council members pursued power through fear, cruelty, and political manipulation. His moral compass, always strong, began to clash more frequently with the Council's darker tactics. His last campaign in the Forgotten Woods, ostensibly to combat the drow threat, gave him time to reflect deeply on the path he had chosen and whether the Council's ends truly justified their increasingly questionable means. This period of introspection would prove crucial to his eventual decision to break away from the organization he had once believed in.
Fateful Meeting with Arties and the Birth of Love
When given the opportunity to meet the drow woman whose face had haunted his dreams for months, Xaneborr jumped at the chance, driven by a connection he couldn't fully explain. His first encounter with Arties Geodegazer, leader of the Southern Coalition, changed everything. Their bond was intense and immediate, a recognition of souls that transcended their supposed positions as enemies. Despite their single night together before he was called away on Council business, that meeting planted the seeds of a love that would ultimately reshape both their destinies. The intensity of their connection and the profound sense of rightness he felt with her began to overshadow his loyalty to the Chromatic Council and its increasingly questionable cause.
The Great Betrayal and New Allegiance
The breaking point came when Casey, leader of the Blue Dragon Legion, demanded that Tundra take action against the drow forces in Sillumi after claiming her forces had been ambushed. Tundra's order was simple and direct: "Take Anice." But Xaneborr refused. This act of defiance marked his complete break with the Chromatic Council and everything it represented. Instead of following orders, he remained in the neighboring forests to protect Anice from the Council's forces, finally taking the stand his conscience had been demanding for years. When he learned that Arties was pregnant with his child, all remaining doubt vanished. He marched his army south to join with the Southern Coalition, choosing love, family, and moral conviction over political power and old loyalties.
Family Life and New Purpose in Goodberry
Three days after his arrival in Verdant Hold, Arties gave birth to twin daughters, Celeste and Seylah, marking the beginning of Xaneborr's transformation from military commander to devoted family man. His marriage to Arties united two of the most powerful figures in the Southern Coalition and provided him with the stable, loving family he had always dreamed of but never dared hope for. Now permanently settled in the Geodegazer Estate, he divides his time between his military responsibilities and his role as father to a growing collection of children whom he loves unconditionally. This domestic life has revealed sides of his personality that few ever imagined: his gentleness with children, his protective instincts, and his capacity for quiet moments of joy amid the ongoing conflicts that define their world.
Always Beside You, Brother.
In the early morning hours of Frostmoon 1, 1304 the full force of the Chromatic Council fell upon the city of Verdant Hold. Thousands died, but the Heaven's Chosen held the city and defeated the council once and for all. Xaneborr lead his army against the combined forces of the Chromatic Council and held the city as long as they could. While flying around on his friend's back, Br'Kor took a dragonslaying bolt to the heart and fell from the skies, dying on impact, but saving his friends life in the process. Xaneborr lost control of himself and, for the first time in over 5,000 years, gave into the rage. Thousands of draconians fell to his axe over the next few moments. Before he could eliminate Nultero, she used her magical powers to pull him out of his rage, leaving him exhausted and helpless. At least, he wanted her to think that... but before he could do anything about it, Casey, the commander of the Blue Dragon Legion, betrayed her own and slew Nultero. The tide of the war turned and the Heaven's Chosen were able to claim the day. For his part, though, Xaneborr lost the best friend he'd ever known, feeling his soul shatter in the process.
Goals
Protecting and Nurturing His Growing Family
Xaneborr's primary goal centers on being the best husband and father possible while ensuring the safety and prosperity of his ever-growing family. He is deeply committed to creating a stable, loving environment where all his children, both biological and adopted, can thrive without the constant fear that has defined much of his own life. This includes not only physical protection but also emotional support, education, and guidance in developing their own moral compasses. He wants each child to grow up understanding their own worth and potential while learning the values of honor, courage, and compassion that he holds dear. His relationship with Arties and their expanding household represents the fulfillment of dreams he never dared hope for during his solitary years.
Advancing Cultivation and Personal Growth
Beyond his family responsibilities, Xaneborr is committed to his own continued growth and development, both in terms of his cultivation practices and his understanding of leadership and governance. He seeks to increase his personal power not for its own sake, but to better protect those under his care and to serve as a more effective leader for the Southern Coalition. This includes deepening his connection to his draconic heritage, mastering new combat techniques, and developing his strategic thinking. He also works to overcome his natural reluctance to engage in politics, recognizing that effective leadership in peacetime requires different skills than battlefield command. His goal is to become not just a stronger warrior, but a wiser and more complete leader.
Creating a United and Just World
Xaneborr's long-term vision involves seeing the world united under powerful but just leadership, a dream that initially drew him to the Chromatic Council but which he now pursues through very different means. He believes that lasting peace can only be achieved when strength and justice work together, when leaders are willing to use their power to protect rather than exploit. His support for the Southern Coalition represents his commitment to this vision, as he works to help create a model of governance that other regions might choose to emulate rather than resist. He hopes to see a world where dragons and other misunderstood creatures can live without fear of persecution, where strength serves justice rather than ambition, and where future generations can grow up in a world defined by cooperation rather than constant conflict.

⚔️ Combat Warning
Few have faced Xaneborr in battle and lived to speak of it, and fewer still without trembling at the memory. His strikes land with the certainty of a smith's hammer on hot steel: deliberate, unerring, and devastating. He moves with a predator's economy, wasting neither step nor breath, weaving between blows as though the air itself bends to shield him. When the killing stroke comes, it is swift as a hawk's dive and just as inescapable, leaving only the echo of steel and the silence that follows. His connection to dragonkind grants him abilities beyond those of ordinary warriors, making him a force that even seasoned veterans approach with extreme caution.
