Bloodline Ability
This Bloodline ability has not yet been unveiled to you.
Physical Description
Malgrum is a sturdy, bright-faced Waveforged toddler with a head of thick auburn-red hair that catches firelight like copper and shows no interest in lying flat. His eyes are a vivid, clear blue, wide and alert and currently focused with great seriousness on whichever of the two small ornate hammers he is holding at any given moment, which is always both. He has the unmistakable density of Waveforged blood — solid and grounded in a way that makes him seem more planted than other children his size, as though he intends to stay exactly where he is until he decides otherwise. He wears miniature dwarven armor with an ease that suggests he finds it entirely natural and perhaps mandatory, and he sits by fireplaces with the settled contentment of someone who considers warmth a fundamental right.
His grip strength remains remarkable for his age and has only grown as he has. He holds both hammers simultaneously and does not drop them, which he considers the baseline and not an achievement. His voice when unhappy carries the same deep resonance it always has — the Geodegazer household has learned to distinguish between his genuinely upset cry and what he apparently considers a reasonable volume for ordinary conversation. He bears a strong physical resemblance to a man he has never met and likely will not meet for some time, if ever, which is a coincidence that only a handful of people in the world have the full context to find significant.
Personality
- Remarkably resilient and hardy, takes bumps and tumbles in stride
- Alert and observant, notices things before other children do
- Strong attachment to Mama and a quiet trust of the wider household
- Generally calm unless deeply uncomfortable or separated from his hammers
- Shows early signs of determination that border on stubbornness
- Responds warmly to the large family around him
- Volume management is an ongoing household discussion
- Requires more food than children his size typically do
- The hammers are his and this is not a negotiable position
- His weight makes prolonged carrying tiring even for adults of reasonable size
- Stubborn about bedtime with a consistency that suggests it is principled
[Holds up both hammers simultaneously to show you. This is not a question. This is information he is providing.]
"MINE." [about the hammers, pre-emptively, before anyone has expressed interest in them]
[Sits quietly by the fire for an extended period, both hammers in lap, with the settled expression of someone who has found exactly the right place to be]
- His hammers, specifically, both of them, at all times
- Mama, who is the fixed center of his world
- The fireplace, which he considers the best feature of any room
- The general warmth and noise of the Geodegazer household
- Rhythmic sounds: hammering, drumbeats, the sound of forge work
- Anyone reaching toward his hammers without prior arrangement
- Being separated from Mama for too long
- Sudden loud noises that he did not cause himself
- Feeling hungry, which he communicates at volume
- Bedtime, which he contests on principle every single night
