Peppi Emberlight
Basic Information
Bloodline Ability
Whenever Peppi lays eyes on a plant or flower, its name simply arrives in her head, as plainly as if someone beside her had said it aloud. It works on anything that grows, from common roadside weeds to blossoms no scholar has ever catalogued. The gift stops at the name, though. It tells her nothing about whether the thing will heal her, poison her, or just look nice in a vase.
Physical Description
Three days removed from the only body she'd ever known, Peppi is still catching herself mid-motion, reaching for a tongue or a leap that isn't there anymore. Nokko gave her deep brown skin, a mane of thick auburn curls she keeps pulled back in a long braided tail, and a tall, powerfully built frame that carries itself like it has always known how to fight. Her eyes are an emerald green that crinkle easily when she grins, which is often. She favors practical, close-fitting clothing that lets her move fast and hit hard, though she's not above dressing up when the occasion calls for it, and has quickly discovered she rather enjoys having shoulders broad enough to turn heads in a doorway. Every inch of her new height and muscle was chosen deliberately, built off careful study of exactly what Esyrx found beautiful.
Old habits die slower than old bodies. Peppi still sits with her knees drawn up and her weight balanced on the balls of her feet, a Grippli's ready-crouch that looks merely athletic on her new human frame instead of amphibious. She blinks slowly and deliberately when she's thinking hard, a leftover tic from a set of eyelids she no longer has. Her voice carries further than she means it to, pitched for calling across a bog to someone half-hidden in reeds, and she hasn't yet learned to soften it for a quiet room. She still keeps a small unlit lantern charm on a cord at her wrist, a habit of the Lantern Walkers she has no intention of breaking no matter what shape she wears.
