Bloodline Ability

Physical Description
Essera has the kind of striking coloring that makes her impossible to overlook in a crowd and, by her own visible discomfort, wishes she didn't. Her hair is a deep, warm copper-red, worn long and loosely waved with a portion braided back from her face, and it catches light in a way that makes her easy to spot from a distance whether she wants to be or not. Her skin is fair and lightly freckled across the nose and cheeks, unmistakably a complexion better suited to cooler, greyer climates than Goodberry tends to offer, and she has clearly not yet adjusted her habits to account for it. Her ears carry the long, unmistakable taper of her High Elf lineage, and she wears fine gold earrings set with small dark red stones that dangle nearly to her jaw, one of the few obvious luxuries she allows herself. Her eyes are a pale hazel-green, watchful and unhurried, the eyes of someone who has spent a great deal of time learning to observe a room before she speaks in it.
She dresses in a way that stands out sharply against the practical wool and leather most of Goodberry favors: fitted leather-trimmed travel clothing in deep maroon and brown, buckled and structured, with embroidered detailing at the collar that speaks of formal training somewhere far from here. It is well-made, well-worn, and noticeably heavier than the season calls for, and she has made no visible effort to replace it with anything better suited to the climate.
There is a faint, cool undertone to the air immediately around Essera that most people register only as a vague sense of calm rather than anything overtly magical, a side effect, most assume, of whatever lets her draw on Goodberry's ley current the way she does. She stands and sits with the deliberate stillness of someone trained to be observed, spine straight, hands composed, and she rarely fidgets even when a conversation grows uncomfortable. Locals have noticed she is often found near the water at odd hours, particularly just before dawn, standing at the shoreline with her eyes closed as though listening to something underneath the surface rather than looking at it.

I did not come to Goodberry to be interesting. I came to be useful, and to be left alone, in roughly that order.
The current under this city hums louder than most places I have listened. I only listen to it. What it is trying to say is not entirely clear to me either.
Ask me anything about mana, tides, or the weather three days from now. Ask me nothing else, and we will get along fine.
