This location was chosen deliberately, positioned for easy access by both residents and visiting merchants while remaining sheltered beneath the protective canopy of mature maple and oak trees. The site itself spans roughly eighty feet across, providing ample room for multiple vendors to set up their wares without feeling cramped, yet intimate enough that the space maintains a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere rather than the impersonal bustle of a large city market.
The ground has been carefully prepared to serve its commercial purpose while respecting the living forest around it. The natural forest floor was cleared of undergrowth and leaf litter, then leveled and surfaced with a mixture of packed earth and fine gravel that drains well during rain yet remains firm and clean underfoot. This surface is swept daily to maintain its appearance and prevent mud from forming in wet weather.
