Description: Aasimars look mostly human except for some minor physical trait that reveals their unusual heritage. Typical aasimar features include hair that shines like metal, jewel-toned eyes, lustrous skin color but one thing all Aasimar share is glowing star-like light that emits from their forehead. Aasimar can be born from parents of any race, but Humans are the most common.
Society: Aasimars do not have a culture or society of their own, rather, they are more of a mutation caused by one of their parents having interactions with a Celestial being. They feel a greater tug from forces beyond them, pulled to greater purposes than others. You might find a Aasimar functioning in some form of nobility, or holding a position of power in a city but those are usually temporary... things done during healing downtimes, planning sessions or time waiting for a plan to come to fruition. Their pull to destiny keeps them constantly on the move.
It is unclear why the touch of the celestial is felt so much more strongly in humanity than other races, though it may be that humanity's inherent adaptability and affinity for change is responsible for the evolution of aasimars as a distinct race. Perhaps the endemic racial traits of other races are too deeply bred, too strongly present, and too resistant to change. Whatever dalliances other races may have had with the denizens of the upper planes, the progeny of such couplings are vanishingly rare and have never bred true.
Relations: Aasimars are most common and most comfortable in thier native communities, but they can co-exist with any race except Demonkin. Demonkin make Aasimar feel agitated and on edge. In regards to love and family, Aasimar are very much like their human counterparts in most of these manners. They can fall in love, wed and have children like normal humans, though the call of destiny is never far from their minds. This often makes people think them flippant, flakey or distracted in homelife. Offspring of an Aasimar are 75% likely to be Aasimar as well.
