Krevoff Draall
Basic Information
Bloodline Ability
This Bloodline ability has not yet been unveiled to you.
Physical Description
Krevoff is a mountain of a Kharunn, broad through the shoulders and thick through the neck, with grey, deeply creased hide and a heavy, scarred snout crowned by a single long horn and a smaller ridge behind it. Forty years and twenty of them spent as a working mercenary have left their marks: old scars along one arm, a chipped edge on the horn, and the permanently squared-off posture of someone who has spent a lot of time standing his ground on purpose. He wears a long, weather-beaten leather duster over a cross-strapped bandolier and a faded red scarf wound loosely at his throat, with worn trousers and heavy boots built for standing in dirt, sand, or blood without much preference between them. Small trophies, a claw, a length of braided cord, a couple of feathers, hang off his belt, souvenirs from a career he doesn't explain unless the drinks are already poured.
Krevoff's rifle, a long, well-oiled piece he calls Bertha, is the single cleanest thing he owns by a wide margin, kept in immaculate condition even when the rest of him looks like he slept in a ditch, which he sometimes has. His hide alone turns aside most glancing blows without him noticing, and he treats this less as a racial advantage and more as a personal point of pride. He chews a bitter root out of habit more than craving, spits when he's thinking, and laughs loudly and often, usually at his own jokes, which he is frequently the only one in the room laughing at.
Personality & Temperament
- Fiercely protective of anyone he decides is "his people"
- Generous to a fault once the drinks start flowing
- Unshakeable and calm when things turn violent
- Surprisingly gentle with children and animals
- Loyal without exception once he's given his word
- Crude, loud, and utterly unfiltered in mixed company
- Flirts shamelessly regardless of the situation
- Drinks more than is probably wise, often
- Carries a real chip on his shoulder about respect
- Picks fights with his mouth before it's necessary
Twenty years I put a bullet exactly where I said I would, and Gelderai thanks me with a fruit basket. A fruit basket! I want a beach and a bottle, is that so much to ask?
You buy the first round, sweetheart, and I'll tell you the one about the time I shot a man's hat clean off his head from four hundred yards. Good story. Mostly true.
Yeah, yeah, I look like I'd eat a man for breakfast. Ask the kid I carried eleven miles out of a burning camp if that's the whole picture.
