Bloodline Ability

Physical Description
Claire stands 5'9", lean and economically muscled in the way of someone who has spent a career surviving on precision rather than bulk. Her hair is a pale, near-colorless blonde, kept short and unstyled, and her skin carries an unusual, faintly cool pallor that has nothing to do with her actual health. Her eyes are the one thing no one who meets her ever forgets: a flat, silvery grey, entirely unlike any natural human eye color, the visible mark of the graft she carries and the reason most people who recognize a Greyblade on sight take a half-step back without quite meaning to. She wears simple, practical traveling clothes and carries a greatsword nearly as tall as she is strapped across her back, its blade a dull, matte grey that never seems to catch the light the way a normal sword would.
Claire speaks rarely and moves with a deliberate economy that can read as coldness to strangers, though it is closer to constant, practiced control. She does not startle, does not flinch, and rarely raises her voice even when angry, a stillness that took her years of discipline to build and that she guards carefully, aware of exactly what happens if it ever truly breaks.

Someone carried me once, when I couldn't have carried myself. I only know one way to pay that back.
I do not fight because I enjoy it. I fight because something has to stand between what's coming and the people who can't stand there themselves.
A young boy asked me once if I was still human. I told him the honest answer: mostly.
- Quiet mornings
- The sound of the tide, steady and unhurried
- A blade kept clean and properly balanced
- Places that ask no questions about her past
- Being useful without being thanked for it
- Being asked to explain her eyes
- Orders given without honest reasons
- Anyone treating children as lesser
- Crowded rooms with only one exit
- Being thanked, at any real length
