Avalon Avonici
Basic Information
Bloodline Ability
This Bloodline ability has not yet been unveiled to you.
Physical Description
Avalon's human visage is deep auburn hair worn loose in soft waves, fair skin with an almost luminous warmth to it, and dark eyes that most people describe as striking before they can say anything more specific about them. She dresses with deliberate, expensive simplicity, usually in deep reds that were never chosen to advertise her bloodline and are impossible not to read that way anyway. She favors ruby jewelry passed down from her mother, small pieces worn without ceremony. Her beauty is not incidental. It is a low, constant, entirely involuntary pull that comes from what she is rather than anything she does, and she has spent her whole adult life managing other people's reactions to it rather than enjoying it.
Avalon runs warm. Not fevered, not uncomfortable, but noticeably warmer than a human body has any business being, a fact anyone who has ever shaken her hand or sat close to her at a negotiating table eventually notices and almost never comments on. Under strong emotion, particularly anger she is actively suppressing, her pupils narrow to a fine vertical line for a second or two before she catches it and looks away. She has never taken her true shape in front of another living person since arriving in Kristofferson as a young ambassador, and she intends to keep it that way for as long as she possibly can.
Personality & Temperament
- Reads a room's real politics in under a minute
- Even-tempered under pressure, almost unnervingly so
- Genuinely invested in fair outcomes, not just wins
- Rewards competence and directness generously
- Patient with fools, right up until she isn't
- Goes cold and clipped when men press their affections
- Avoids her true form to a degree bordering on denial
- Restless and sharp-tongued when left with nothing to do
- Deflects every question about her mother, instantly
- Distrusts being "protected" more than being threatened
I did not leave Gelderai because I wanted to be safe. I left because six men decided, among themselves, that I should be.
Ask me about tariffs, trade routes, or Kristofferson's grain shortage. I promise you it is more interesting than my wings.
You want to know what I looked like the last time I lost control completely. I promise you, you do not.
