Asa Hrafnsdottir
Basic Information
Bloodline Ability
This Bloodline ability has not yet been unveiled to you.
Physical Description
Asa stands nearly six feet tall and is built like something the fjord itself carved rather than raised, all corded muscle across her shoulders and arms from a lifetime of rowing, shield work, and refusing to sit still. Her hair is a deep gold, worn long and half-braided in the intricate Northman style, framing pale, weathered features and a pair of ice-grey eyes that hold steady on whoever she's looking at, unblinking, until they look away first. She dresses in hardened leather and burnished bronze plate over practical wool and fur, a mantle of thick grey pelt settled across her shoulders against the cold she claims she stopped feeling years ago. She rarely goes anywhere without her shield, a broad, battered, iron-rimmed thing scarred along its face in dozens of places, each mark from a blow it stopped rather than one that got through.
Asa laughs easily and often, a booming, genuine sound entirely at odds with the reputation that precedes her, and she has never once turned down a contest of strength, be it arm wrestling, log carrying, boat racing, or drink. She wins most of these outright. The drinking contests are the one exception she's quietly engineered: somewhere around the halfway mark she switches, without comment or fanfare, from full-strength ale to a watered-down pour she's arranged in advance with whoever's tending the hall. No one has caught on yet. When she plants her shield in the ground before a fight, she does not move it again until the fight is over, a habit so consistent that people across Torheim simply call it "planting the Wall," and treat the sight of it as a settled matter before the first blow has even landed.
