The Dreamroot enchantment awakens this network's latent magical potential, transforming it into a conduit for consciousness. When residents sleep with their beds positioned over major root junctions, their dreaming minds can touch the network and connect with others doing the same.
The experience of using the Dreamroot Network is unlike ordinary dreaming. Participants find themselves in a shared dreamscape that resembles the grove but rendered in soft, luminous colors. Here they can speak face-to-face regardless of physical distance, share memories by simply willing them into existence, or leave messages that will find their intended recipients when they next sleep. The network remembers; important communications can be anchored to specific root nodes, waiting patiently for years if necessary.
The druids who maintain the network have learned to read its deeper currents. The roots carry not just conscious messages but the forest's own awareness: warnings of approaching threats, knowledge of distant events that affect the grove, and occasionally cryptic visions from the Heart Tree itself. Interpreting these natural communications requires training and intuition, but those who master the skill become invaluable advisors.
Privacy within the network is maintained through intent. Casual dreamers see only the shared spaces and messages meant for them. Deeper communion requires mutual consent, and attempting to force entry into another's private dreams causes immediate expulsion from the network.
